Gilmer trip July 2014

In July of 2014 the kids and I headed to Gilmer to spend a few days. It was a fun get-a-way!

We took a selfie as we hit the road.  Gage was crying in the first one.

We always go to see the animals at the neighbor's house.

This time the kids even got to help PawPaw Dan collect the eggs from the chicken coup.

One day we spent at the Wildlife Museum in Tyler

We got to see a lot of awesome animals and an old country store.

We had a picnic at the park and the kids got to play on this super cool firetruck.

And choo-choo train.

We had our own water park at Gee's house too.

After cooling off with water, we cooled off with Aunt Kerrie's homemade peach ice cream!  YUM!

Gee had a lot of activities planned for the kids to do.  And we played a lot of card games too like Uno and Phase 10.

Gage had fun catching grasshoppers with mommy.

And this summer I learned how to make homemade salsa.  The tomatoes, jalapenos, and onions were from PawPaw Dan's garden.
