Sea World - The Finale, Shamu



 

We saw both Shamu shows. 

Shamu Rocks!

We just happened to see this show at night, therefore it is dark.

These creatures are so amazing and beautiful!

The second Shamu show we saw was the last event we did before heading home.
 

One Ocean

Again the kids were determined to be in the splash zone!

There were a couple of jumps very close to the wall.  I was actually a little
 scared.  What happens if they land wrong on the wall or out of the pool?  Freak things happen. 

We knew for sure we were going to get wet.  I was prepared for it, but not prepared for how COLD the water is.  I had a beach towel to cover my camera and after the first splash, Gage had enough.  I used the towel to cover him too.  The water is not only cold, but really hits you hard.  At least it did where we were sitting.

Sea World - Part 3, ELMO

Elmo was Gage's favorite thing about Sea World.  He couldn't get enough.  We loved playing in the Sesame Street Bay of Play. 

 

Elmo making an appearance on stage.  I think this show was called the Sunshine Celebration with the Sesame Street Gang.

Gage really didn't care which character he saw.  He loved them all!!

And was even brave enough to hug them.  So cute!

We had our picture made with the whole gang.  Gage could have sat in Elmo's lap or next to Elmo, but he wanted to sit next to the pink girl.

And you know we had to have front row seats to Elmo Rocks!!!

Gage slowly crept closer to the stage with the other kids.

He wanted to climb on stage.

We were next to the middle walkway and got a close up view of all the characters.

And the best was a high five from Elmo himself!!!

Sea World - Part 2, The Shows

Obviously the shows are a big part of the Sea World experience.  In our three day visit, we were able to see all the shows except the water skiing one.

Even though the kids were so well behaved, they did have a few moments when they were tired.  Poor Gage looks like he is going to fall asleep here.

This show was beautiful and filled with daring jumps from the rafters, flying and diving acrobatics, a whale, dolphins, and colorful birds that flew overhead.

The Sea Lion shows were very entertaining.

During the second show (on a different day), Keaton and Cort were determined to be in the splash zone.  They scored seats in the front row. 

And wouldn't you know it.  Mark gets picked out of the audience during a pre-show skit.

Then Cort (Mr. Lucky) was picked from the audience to talk to the Sea Lion.
