Pumpkin Patch at the Oil Ranch

What is fall without a visit to a pumpkin patch?  So Gage and I visited the Hockley Oil Ranch with some friends from Copperfield Church Preschool.

The scarecrow was so excited to see us he did a cartwheel.

We didn't have time to do everything, like feed the cows on a hayride, but we did get to take the train ride.

The train goes around the entire property.

He wanted to take the canoe out on the lake.

But instead we pumped some water at the well.

Then he practiced riding a bull like a real cowboy!

Then he gave up becoming a cowboy and tried his luck at being an Indian.

Best of all he got to pick out a pumpkin and take it home.  He had to find the perfect one!

I loved spending the day with this little guy!

Creek Trip to escape Chemo

In October, we took a break from life (and all things cancer) and spent a family weekend at the creek.  It was relaxing, peaceful and just what we all needed.  

The guys went fishing while Gage and I relaxed at the creek house Saturday morning.

After they returned from the morning fishing trip, Gage got to go fishing.  I think this may have been his first fishing trip.
