39th birthday celebration

 

Mark organized a night out to celebrate my birthday.

It is always fun to get together with friends for any reason, and we had a great time celebrating my birthday!!

The following weekend, my parents kept the kids so Mark and I could have a weekend away.  This is our first night out in Kemah at Landry's. 

 

We stayed at a resort in Clearlake that was close to the Kemah boardwalk but also Galveston. 

On Saturday, we shopped on the Galveston strand. 

We had a great time.  We bought souvenirs for all the kids and a few fun items for ourselves.  And no, we did not buy the hats we tried on.

We had afternoon drinks and dinner at Jimmy's on the Pier.  It is a nice, casual place and the food was good. 

My college roommate, DeeDee and her husband Bill, joined us for dinner.  She is from Galveston although lives in Dallas, so it was nice to catch up with them. 

Mark and I had an awesome time making new memories.  It was a great, quick getaway that we very much needed!

Keaton and Kevin have had a lot of fun playing sports together.  They have played soccer, baseball and now flag football as teammates.

Serena was our only girl on the team.  She was awesome!

Cort's last game the other team didn't even show up.  So we scrambled to find some more players which happened to be a couple of the 3/4/5 graders and split up the team.  Keaton was on Cort's team.
