Trip with Trains and Tracks

In April we made our first trip in 2012 to Gilmer to see my parents.  It's amazing how fast the year goes by and I realize we didn't go very many times.  They travel to Houston throughout the year so we do get to see them more often.  They were in Houston in January for Cort's birthday, in March for Gage's birthday, so we made the trip to Gilmer in April for Gee's birthday.

Easter was the weekend before our trip to Gilmer, and Gee made sure the Easter bunny left some eggs for Keaton, Cort and Gage

I found one!

The boys always love to play in the pasture.  And this time Paw Paw Dan mowed a race track in the tall grass.  We had lots of fun driving the golf cart on it.

They always try to catch bugs and grasshoppers. 

We try at least once a year to get the whole family together.  Kerrie, Casey, and Baby Aria joined us to celebrate mom's birthday.  Besides the bug catching, train riding, golf cart racing and crashing .....

Yes Keaton crashed the golf cart into mom's flower bed....it was so stuck that we had to get Paw Paw Dan to help.

Gage wanted a turn at the wheel.  He figured he could drive as well as Keaton.

....Anyway, being at home is very peaceful.  It's nice to get away from our busy lives and just relax in the country.

Easter

But then he just wanted to open it and eat the candy instead of put it in the basket and look for more.

He didn't make out so well this first egg hunt.  See all the eggs behind him?  Just wanted to sit and eat his candy!

Our neighbor Abby has a pet rabbit and he joined us for the hunt.

And now that Gage got the hang of it, one last egg hunt with our small group in the park.  Whew, Easter can be tiring.

So mad I couldn't find a picture of Cort wearing the outfit for Easter because I know he did.  But here he is rocking it at Keaton's birthday party in 2006, sunglasses and all.
