| It is always fun to get together with friends for any reason, and we had a great time celebrating my birthday!! |

| The following weekend, my parents kept the kids so Mark and I could have a weekend away. This is our first night out in Kemah at Landry's. |

| We stayed at a resort in Clearlake that was close to the Kemah boardwalk but also Galveston. |

| On Saturday, we shopped on the Galveston strand. |
 |
| We had a great time. We bought souvenirs for all the kids and a few fun items for ourselves. And no, we did not buy the hats we tried on. |

| We had afternoon drinks and dinner at Jimmy's on the Pier. It is a nice, casual place and the food was good. |

| My college roommate, DeeDee and her husband Bill, joined us for dinner. She is from Galveston although lives in Dallas, so it was nice to catch up with them. |
 |
| Mark and I had an awesome time making new memories. It was a great, quick getaway that we very much needed! Happy Birthday to me!!! |
