Saying Good-Bye to Grandpodder

We gathered to say goodbye to Fred Hamilton.  The Service was held at Cypress United Methodist Church.  This was their home church.

Fred was Jane's father and he lived a wonderful life of  97 years.  

This is Jane's brother's family, also named Fred after his father.

When they were little they couldn't say Grandfather or Grandmother, so they called Fred & Louise Grandpodder and Grandmudder.

I love that Keaton is holding the baby.  And she is looking up at him to make sure he knows what he is doing.

We gathered March 14, 2015 at the beautiful Glenwood Cemetary near downtown for a small graveside service to bury Grandfather's ashes next to Grandmother in the same plot.

Uncle Fred gave the eulogy.

 As I was writing this post about Grandfather's funeral, I realized I did not post anything about Grandmother's funeral.  Her service was also held at Cypress United Methodist Church. Here are a few pictures from December 2010.

Gage Reeves Roberson is named after Fredrick Reeves Hamilton.
They lived a great life together and left us with a legacy including an Elementary school named after them both in the Cypress Fairbanks school district.
