Christmas Festivities 2014

Every year our neighborhood hosts Santa at the Gazebo Park.  Gage was really excited to write his letter to Santa.

We rode the train while we waited on Santa to arrive.

Gage giving his letter to Santa and telling him what he wanted for Christmas.

Gage, age 5, with Santa.

Guess who is back and she brought a letter and candy canes!

Gage was so excited to see her!

Can you find the ELF?

She is on a sleigh ride with the snowman!

And of course elves love syrup!

One morning we found that she had built a train track.

The elf was a fan of our GOD sign!
This year we made paper snowflakes.  We even found a template to make these cool star war shaped ones too!

We decorated the back door with our beautiful snowflakes!

Cort with our back neighbor, Cooper.

This is the only year that Cort was at elementary by himself.  This means I got to stay at his party the whole time instead of splitting my time between two parties.  Next year, Gage starts Kinder.

Time and time again, Cort is proven to be a class favorite.  He was chosen to be the snowman.

His team had to decorate him with toilet paper.
Black hat and black buttons.

And a carrot nose!

Did you know Cort and Zeke were in the movie Elf?
Ha!  This was a poster advertising the children's ministry at church.

We would love a white Christmas, but will take what we can get.  It snowed under the church pavilion while we enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies!

After the church service we had a tamale dinner at Nana's house and more family joined us.
Aunt Debi, Uncle David, Abby and Xander
And Mayumi, Patrick and Samuel

Hey two times in one month Keaton is holding a baby.  With all this practice, maybe he will start babysitting soon!

Now the Cookies and milk are left for Santa...

and the kids are tucked in bed with visions of fairy plums dancing in their heads.
