Christmas 2013

 

Before I get to this year's Christmas, here is a look back at us with our angel wings last Christmas.  This was an interactive play at church and we were cast as angels.  We got to decorate our wings and learn a song to perform during our part.  It was a lot of fun and a good memory.

As always, one of the many holiday events are the school Christmas parties.  The kids are so excited because it is the last day of school before Christmas break.

He was super excited we came to his party.

Last year Santa sent an elf to our house.  The elf is supposed to report back to Santa if the kids are being naughty or nice.  Our elf is not like other elves.  She doesn't have a name and is bigger than most.  She is soft and plush.  She was picked by Santa especially for us!

You never know where you will find the elf.  Sometimes she just likes to hang around.

I think she longs to be a trapeze acrobat.

Other days she is lazy and just relaxes.

But watch out because she can be naughty too!

The kids love looking for the elf.

This morning we found her in disguise.  Gage was a little upset though.  He didn't want to share his new Mr. Incredible costume.

I guess she was trying to tell Gage he was being a little devilish.

Sometimes she even brings gifts!

I guess she couldn't wait for us to unwrap it.

 

We had Christmas with Mark's family at Jane's house.  Gage helped Kayla and Aunt Julie make a delicious fruit salad.

He's a lot of help in the kitchen!

 

 

Time to open gifts!!!  Gage loves Jake the Pirate!

Keaton got Chima from Kayla and Ryan.

So did Cort.

Nana and Papaw got them both remote control helicopters.  I think Cort is just a little excited.

In celebration of Cort's performance as Elvis, Nana gave him an Elvis Christmas tree ornament.

And the best gift of all, Mr. Incredible costume from Nana and Papaw.

I didn't think he would ever take it off.  He loves being a superhero!

Christmas Eve service at Copperfield Church did not disappoint.  Once again they had SNOW!

Christmas Eve was a long day!!! I found these two asleep right after dinner.

The house was quiet and waiting on Santa.

 

Santa made a big delivery.

Keaton got a new desk for his room.

Cort got a new scooter.

And Gage got a new bike!

Ha!  You are 40 book for Mark.

I found these in my stocking.  I wasn't too happy about them, but luckily it was just a joke.  Mark gave me more soft comfy socks too!

Gage wanted to wear everything he opened.

Cort got the new coat he was asking for.

And the final present......

Xbox 360 for Keaton and Cort and Jake tent for Gage.

Now to try out the new bike.

Cort is a pro on his new carving scooter.

Gage's bike came with a tool kit.
