Spring Time Fun

As previously stated, the kids and I did manage to get out for some outings during my maternity leave. I did manage to get some photos, but it seems I didn't take my camera that often. Guess I was just glad to be out and about with three kids in tow.

I loved getting out early in the morning for a walk to the park. The kids would ride their bikes and play on the 'dirt ramps' some older kids built or climb trees. I loved the cool morning air and being outside. I took it all in knowing my peaceful mornings would not last forever. We spent most afternoons outside in the front yard riding bikes, scooters or playing ball with the neighbor kids. We would have popsicles or snow cones trying to keep cool.We cashed in some bowling coupons one Sunday afternoon.

The Blanco Family joined us for some funMark took the boys on an explore at the ranch in early June. They were able to explore a lot more than they did at Father's day. Father's Day weekend it had rained and was too wet. (Wouldn't want the truck or tractor to get stuck.......or flip, huh Mark?)

They tried to feed Hot Shot, the horse, a snack, but he is getting old and doesn't want to be bothered much anymore.

Okay, I think I am caught up now on my blogging, just some summer fun pool pics to go.....

3 months

Father's Day

A POEM FOR PAPA ROBO

Thanks for being strong
And showing them the way.
They want to be like you
When they grow up one day.

Thanks for being loving
And gentle in your ways.
For eyes and ears are watching
All you do and say.

Complete this year with five.
You are a GREAT father

And I love our life!

#1 DAD trophy Cort made One of Mark's gift this year for Father's Day was tickets to a Friday night Astros game. It was an outing for just him and the boys. They were all very excited as the headed out early for the game. There are a lot of things for the kids to do before the game. This was one of their favorites.

Now for batting practice. The base shoots up water and the kids try to hit it.
Their favorite thing about the game....the TUB of Cotton Candy and the little Slugger bat daddy bought them in addition to racing the Astro. They enjoyed some baseball park food and settled in to watch the game, but soon headed home. I think they made it through a few innings, but didn't have it in them to stay for the Friday night fireworks after the game. I asked Mark if he enjoyed his gift even though he didn't get to watch much of the game and he said ABSOLUTELY. He made a memory with his boys....their 1st (of many to come) baseball games!

Saturday we swam at the neighborhood pool and enjoyed a delicious lunch with my parents...Robo Ribs. Then Sunday evening we met Mark's parents at the ranch for some exploring and dinner.

Four generations

While the boys were on their explore, Baby Gage slept in Grandfather's arms the entire time. I sat and listened to Grandmother tell some of their touching life story. They will both be 93 this year.
