20 Year class reunion and Yamboree

Twenty years ago (OMG) I graduated high school.  Class of 1992  The Wild Crew!  We held our 20 year class reunion the same weekend as Yamboree and we made a long weekend out of our trip to Gilmer.  Kerrie and Casey came for the visit too, so it was a family reunion of sorts.  You never know what adventures you will find on our trips to Gee and Papa Dan's.

Since we have on different clothes, I guess he took us for 'many' rides.

Papa Dan also took them fishing at a neighbor's pond.



 

And of course, we have to spend a day on the square at the carnival.

Not sure what Keaton was doing while Cort was on the swings, but Cort was just chillaxin!

They also gave the bear tilt-a-world a try.

And yes, they rode the hammers.  And loved it!

But their favorite is still the star ship.  I don't know how they do it.  They rode it over and over.

I was surprised they rode this one twice. 

Keaton almost didn't get on at all and this was the look on his face after the first time. But Aunt Kerrie rode it the second time with them.

The kids had a blast at the carnival.  They love the Yamboree.  Cort keeps calling it the BamBam Jamboree!

Somehow in all this fun, we also celebrate Aria's 1st birthday

Now for some mommy and daddy time!
We got all dolled up for a night out in the big G town. 
We did not go to my 10 year class reunion.  It was the same weekend as Dan and Nicki's wedding, which we were both in the wedding party.

The reunion was held at Tiffany Dodd's childhood home.  She was our class president and I have a lot of fond memories of her home and family. 

I got to reconnect with my high school best friend, Stacie.

Fourth Grade Field Day

I think I said last year that I would take time off from work to attend the kids field days each year because we have so much fun.  Unfortunately life changes.  The good news is I have started only working 8:00-3:00 this school year.  Now each day I am able to pick the boys up from school and help them with their homework.  Mark had been picking up the kids for the last year and a half. 

So right now I have the best of both worlds.  I am still working and yet more available for my family.  The only downside, if you have to find one, is little Gage is still in full time daycare.

Anyway, since I have already stirred the pot by changing my work hours, I didn't ask for time off to attend Keaton's field day this year.  Instead, Mark attended!!  I did, however, sneak away from the office long enough to enjoy a picnic lunch with Keaton before the events started.

Church Camp Out

Our church hosted a family camp out on the church grounds.  All the fun aspects of camping, with indoor restrooms!!!

 

 

We attended the camp out, but didn't spend the night.  It was a last minute decison and we don't have a tent.  But more than that, we were having family portraits made early the next morning.

 

One of the night highlights was the LOL (Live Out Loud) team leading us in worship.

Mommy Play Dates

 

Cort, Gage and I found ourselves one afternoon with nothing to do (Ha....like I never have anything to do!!)  Keaton was at a sleepover and Cort was sad and lonely (without Keaton) so we headed out to find something fun to do.  We ended up at our new neighborhood bounce house, Monkey Joes.

 



Gage had fun for a while in the preschool area, but it wasn't long before he too was longing for his older brother and wanted to find Cort.

Cort was having fun with some new friends he met.  He really didn't want his two year old brother slowing him down so Gage got a little sad.  Gage is just a little young for some of the bounce slides and obstacles. 

I love spending time with the boys.  One of our favorite things to do is go to the park!  I really need to make more time in our busy schedule to plan even more outings!!

A couple of kids from school were also at the park.  They let Keaton ride their cool bike.

This afternoon we decided to go to the duck pond.  It had been a while since we fed the ducks. 

They always have so much fun and beg to go back.

Gage loved the ducks.

After we ran out of bread, Gage wanted to pet the duck.  I think he wanted to pick it up if I would have let him.

1st day of school

Yes, summer has long been over and we are almost half way through the school year, but I couldn't forget to post pictures from the first day of school.  Wow, 2nd grade and 4th grade!
