Splashing and Fishing

A couple of weekends ago we were at the creek.  The weekend before a holiday weekend is the time to go if you want peace and relaxation.  I guess everyone else was waiting to come down for July 4th.  Mark, PawPaw, Claire and Keaton went out fishing Saturday morning.  This time Cort decided to stay back with me, Gage, and Nana.

So we broke out the slip n slide

Every time Cort would slide, Gage would laugh and squeal.  He loved it.

I want to do it.

After a while, Cort kept asking when daddy and Keaton would be back.  He finally ventured down to the dock to cast the rod a couple of times.

Claire is Mark's cousin.  She is keeping the boys for us this summer.  Keaton and Cort are having so much fun and love her.

Cort wanted to go on a boat ride with just Claire, mom and dad since he didn't go fishing.

Keaton stayed back with PawPaw on the dock.

We didn't have much time since it was getting dark.

Not much of a sunset that night, but it was peaceful.

The kids tried to build a moat for their fish that PawPaw caught in the cast net.  But the mullet were too big and wanted back in the ocean.

Gage's 1st trip to the beach was so much fun.  A great morning spent with family making memories.

More Baseball

Here are a few more pictures to close out this baseball season.  I think we really all enjoyed this year.  I know I did.  It was so fun to watch the kids and they are really starting to develop in this sport.  Cort had several games that he made great plays in the outfield.  One time he made all 3 outs in the inning.  A couple of times parents on the other team complained because their kids were out.  It is TBall, but we have to let our kids play the game.

I loved seeing Keaton up to bat.  I never thought he would be able to hit the ball so well his first year in coach pitch.  I think we might move up to machine pitch next year.
