We had a sleepover for Cort's 8th birthday party.

The 'kids' played rock band before the nerf war began.

I was amazed how well the kids could play.  Cort loves playing the drums! 
After the concert and nerf wars, the kids settled into the sleeping bags and watched a movie.

We gave Cort a Texan jersey and he loved it. He wanted to wear it to school the very next day, but it was class picture day.  I told him to wait one day so we could 'dress cute' for picture day.

Ummm, yeah......

Winter Sports

As I mentioned in a previous post, Keaton and Cort both played flag football during the winter session at the YMCA.  This is the first time we played during this session.  We usually only play in spring and fall.  Coach Howard apparently likes to punish himself by coaching year round!!!

Yep, that's Cort with a boot on the sidelines.  What happened you ask?
Nothing.....turns out just some growing pains.  But he couldn't walk on his foot for a couple of days because it hurt so much.  After a trip to the pediatrician and orthopedic doctor we find out this happens in children often.  Just the way the bones in the feet are growing. 

Coach put him in as quarterback for a couple of plays this week, but mainly he just rested his leg. 

After a few days, he was back to his old self.
