Last month we skipped out on work and school and headed to the zoo for a beautiful afternoon!

| I am always in awe of the Giraffes and how big and graceful they are. This day, the giraffe was working very hard to eat something that had been dropped on the ground. It was humorous to see him spread out its legs in order to bend down. |

| The zoo has a new section, The African Forest. It now has chimpanzees. |

| This chimp was just sitting next to the glass watching us, but another one would run and slam into the glass. Maybe we were bothering him. It was kind of scary and I am hoping that glass is chimp-proof. |

| Aunt Kerrie convinced Cort to try and steal the zoo keeper's car. I told him he would go to jail. |

| I was surprised how long Gage made it. He didn't have a nap all day, but finally crashed right before we were leaving. Keaton and Cort fell asleep in the car on the way home too. We were all wiped out from all that walking. |

| While Kerrie took the boys into the aquarium, I took sleeping Gage and surprised the boys with a treat of snow cones and cotton candy. Cort ate so much cotton candy he got a tummy ache. He told me he had a 'sweet stomach'. Even after all that sugar, they still crashed on the way home. |
We had a great time on our zoo trip. Oh, and did I mention it was a free day. Getting in the gate at 2:00 was a little crowded, but once inside the crowd thins out. Beautiful sunshine, day off from work, fun with my kids, I think it was a good day!
